Inspiration for Google’s bot
Why is it so hard to clip bits of web pages straight to your blog from a web browser? This is so easy to do on an Android phone using the WordPress app, or PixelPipes, and just using the ‘Share’ option.
I’ve tried Clipmarks.com but it didn’t seem to work… or the post I clipped just hasn’t appeared yet… I also didn’t like the fact that I had to create an account (and have all my posts/clips public), and the post (at least as previewed, as I say it hasn’t shown up on my blog yet) included Clipmarks branding around the clip which I just find obnoxious.
I’m writing this from ScribeFire ( http://www.scribefire.com/ ) which is cool but doesn’t let me drag text and images from a web page into its editor – and that’s the killer feature I’m looking for!
There are a couple of other Firefox extensions listed at http://speckyboy.com/2008/08/24/13-essential-wordpress-related-firefox-extensions-make-blogging-easy/ including WordPress Post FireFox Extension and Monkiri but both don’t as yet have versions for Firefox 3.6.8 which Mozilla was so keen that I update to… arghh!
Anyway, will keep looking…
